solidarity with social justice groups in Central and South America, focusing on projects involving mural arts and radio in campesino and indigenous communities and on the involvement of local artists and activists in the projects. There will be multimedia presentations and a hands-on section of the workshop where the participants will set up a radio station and "broadcast". The goal of the workshop is to stimulate discussion about solidarity and the creation of links with other communities struggling for social justice.

<br social, and cultural issues important to the community. The workshop will focus on the use of video and media to document the historical memory of our communities, even as the communities are making that history right now. There will be a focus on visual literacy to discuss how images and technology are used in the mainstream media and how they can be used to tell our stories. The workshop will include a major hands-on component using video equipment to record, using the conference as an example of the hip-hop community's historical memory and how and why to document it.

JESUS AZTECA
